The characters are how I imagine them when reading the novel. I was happy with my image of Jonny until I read that he has "long hair" and I had to alter my mental image of his scruffy quiff and the shape of his face. Preferring my original perception of Jonny, I decided not to imagine him with long brown hair down to his shoulders and to continue imagining him as I had originally; although my excuse for the drawing is that his hair may still be considered long- it certainly isn't short.
