Erik. Should he feel guilty, indifferent, relieved?
His son was back. Yes he had a son. His name was Oskar. Is not like Erik did not care about his son, it was he just was not ready to be a father.
He had his own life once Oskar was gone. He went fishing with his buddies, Janne came over to drink with him and listen to his favorite songs, and think about the good old days.
The days were he had no responsibility, were it was just him. Then suddenly his son appear one day. An older version of his son. Janne was about to come over with a few of his buddies, they were going to play poker, a few drinks here and there....
Then this, his son was standing at his door. It took him a minute to recognize him.
"Oskar is that you?"
"Yes."
Seeing his son, he felt some guilty. For the last four years he had not thought much about him. He only cried when they told him Oskar had vanish. He had not done anything else. In a week he was drinking, listening to the weather forecast, hanging out with his buddies.
Then he remember, his ex wife had called him, told him something about Oskar's return, she was crying, but he was too busy thinking about what things he could sell to buy some liquor for tonight.
"Come in."
"No, I think you have company coming."
Oskar saw the glasses on the table and the cards. Great now he was going to cause a scene.
"No, no is just some of the guys...."
But Oskar was moving too fast. He only managed to see him wave goodbye.
Great, great now he would hear it from her. It was not his fault. Why wasn't he allowed to have his own life? He had not asked to be a father.....
