That is true. In the book you have more insight into every aspect so seeing Eli acting like a kid has much more meaning than it would in the film.

The bullerei bullerei bock scene would have flowed naturally from the jungle gym scene where Eli tells Oskar he needs to hit back, hard. The idea that Eli is trying to recover her lost child hood was something I liked that was played down in the translation from book to film. I think it was cut bec...

I liked Tommy too. I appreciated all the characters including Eli and Oskar. Tommy I especially liked for the background characters(even though in the book none of them are really "Background").
