Re: Reinfection
Terrific to see you again on here Lucibel . I understand what you're saying. Hey gk :) thanks. How are you? Were you already a mod when I stopped coming to the forum? I can't recall :D It evokes dark menace as well as deep loneliness. Hey don! Yes... I guess that kind of describes as I really am. I...

Re: Reinfection
Well, glad I found this thread. Haven't been around here for a while... hope you are all doing great :) Re-watched the film yesterday evening, having not done so in quite some time, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Might be one never really stops being infected. It feels like a familiar, cozy place I ca...

Re: Newly Infected?
Welcome  So, does this fade away? Or is this the beginning of a downward spiral? At this point, I might actually be ok with that. In my personal experience, the infection starts strong and then it slows down a bit, but never really fades away. At least not until now. I think your expe...

Re: Things you didn't like about the book
I would've liked the book even more without: 1) Tommy's subplot. Like some here mentioned, overall it wasn't all that appealing. Story could've gone through without this subplot. 2) Zombie Hakan. It didn't bother me at all. Like stated above, I believe the story could've gone through without it. And...

Theres and Fukaeri *Spoilers*
If you haven't read Little Star and/or 1Q84, DON'T READ. Last year I finished books 1&2 of Murakami's 1Q84. If you've read them... do you notice the similarity between Fukaeri and Theres? I was browsing a library the other day and saw book 3 is now released (in Spanish). So I remembered Fukaeri and ...

Hey John,
Hope you had great holidays as well. I did enjoy Little Star, and will be reading Harbour next. Thank GOD for Kindle, otherwise I wouldn't have a way of getting your books
Cheers,
L

Re: Beautiful ' Little Star '
I really had no problem with her adolescance being told because I quite enjoyed it and got wrapped up in it. Aha. I think that's it then. Teresa's background didn't do for me what it did for you. Not that it was 'dreadful' or anything like that; not one bit. Just not as engaging for me as the rest....

Hate is a strong word. I did feel dirty after watching it, though. Very.
The problem with LMI is that LTROI exists. So yeah... when compared toe to toe, it's a very lousy adaptation. I'll give LMI the credit that thanks to it, a lot more people got to know LTROI

Re: Beautiful ' Little Star '
I finished Little Star a couple weeks ago. I was going to write my impressions right after reading the last words, but decided to wait and let it linger a bit. Theres is a fascinating character, and it is the glue that holds it all. The ending is very JAL-like indeed. I did like it. The only thing t...

Re: Little Star - Reading In Progress - BE WARNED HEAVY SPOI
I had several books on-the-go so I didn't want yet to start another JAL book (also I was waiting to see if Harbour or Little Star was being translated to Spanish). So I finished the books and only Handling the Undead was translated so far (didn't see a lot of great remarks on that one), so I just go...
