Sublime review. It's very rare to see something considered as plain as a soundtrack review be so technically insightful and descriptive while still bringing a storytelling quality and edge to the analysis.

Thoughts? IMDB can be very unreliable, but this does seem somewhat specific.

Is the treatment of women gender specific, or applied to feminine characters regardless of gender? For instance, before Eli is known to be a former male the character is female to the reader and the characters in the book. Is actual or perceived gender more important for the character? Imput from JA...

Very interesting and in-depth breakdown of a very important scene. I like the question regarding Eli's positioning above Oskar because I wondered about that as well. I wish we could find this sort of analysis for all the major scenes.

Very interesting and well composed essay. I agree with his arguments that LTROI(film) is not really a horror movie. Horrific parts yes, but not a horror film.
