Thoughts? IMDB can be very unreliable, but this does seem somewhat specific.

Is the treatment of women gender specific, or applied to feminine characters regardless of gender? For instance, before Eli is known to be a former male the character is female to the reader and the characters in the book. Is actual or perceived gender more important for the character?
