It's rational for you to think Eli is a she despite what they reveal in the book. Doesn't he continue to be effeminate after revealing himself to Oskar? He didn't automatically become a masculine character. It makes sense to think either way regardless of what's shown in the book. You're right... g...

I've always taken that line to signify that despite her true age Eli is still quite childish in terms of his understanding of the world. Caught me between edits  I can't help it, thanks to the movie Eli will always be a "her" in my mind ._. I doubt Eli has any idea how much a nuke plant costs...

I think that it is real and just as Eli said it probably goes for the same price as a nuclear power plant! I've always taken that line to signify that despite his true age Eli is still quite childish in terms of his understanding of the world. I mean I have no idea how much something like that (if ...

Yes, there are differences, some of which actually make a difference ;) This has been discussed before, in various threads, but as far as I know there is no single place to find the differences. I'm reading through the Japanese version of Låt den rätte komma in at the moment, and I've noticed some things are worded differently, for example in the English version, at the beginning when Håkan says "he was already lost", in the Japanese version it says "わたしはもう地獄に落ちている" (I've already descended ...

Thanks for the replies, it's helped me make some sense of it... at least the second question. I guess the bath of blood just doesn't fit into the story... So I'll just take the film's version of that scene as what "really happened" X'D Oh and welcome to the infected! Enjoy your stay! Thank you, it s...

Hey, I'm new here... I'm sure this has been discussed before but I was just wondering if anybody could share their thoughts / theories on the following two things which have always confused me: How can Eli be starving if he sleeps in a bath full of blood? If Eli has so much money why doesn't he just...
