Regret not seeing the film at a local arthouse theater

I first saw the film in September of 2009, a year after it was released. I was 15 years old, and the film left a huge impact on me... it literally changed my life. It was a perfect film to me, and at that point in my life, the story said so much to me about loneliness, and love. I was well aware of ...

Did no one else dislike this film?

I didn't completely hate it. I liked the way it was shot, and I liked the ending sequence a LOT, but I was extremely disappointed with this movie. It seems like everyone who likes this film tells those who didn't, "This wasn't hard to follow if you payed attention, the situation was very thrilling, ...

I'm with you on Abby. Now that I think about it, Abby is what really just made the film not work for me. When I first saw LTROI, there was something about Eli that seemed real to me. She was mysterious, beautiful, and really seemed like this type of girl to rescue Oskar. I can't really explain how t...

Lol, I saw "The Social Network" and LOVED it. Liked it a lot more than Let Me In.

Let Me In ranks 6 in box office for Friday

www.the-numbers.com

Let Me In came in 6th on Friday.

It could build up a bit for the rest of the weekend, but I'm guessing it'll come in at number 5 at the MOST.

Did Owen love Abby?

Someone brought this up in my thread, and I realized this was what really killed the movie for me. Apart from the score, the chemistry between Owen and Abby didn't seem to work for me. A lot of their interactions didn't seem as real to me as in the original's. There were a lot of moments in the orig...

Re: The Infected Review LET ME IN

Agree with you on the cop part. My friend said the same thing about busting into the apartment alone, lol. I liked how this film left the drunks out, but the problem with the cop is the climax didn't work. In the original, Lacke was about to kill Eli with a knife, and Oskar screams at him, and point...

She wasn't an effective vampire.

Lina was so dark, and mysterious. I also hate how they felt they had to make Chloe look like some kind of evil, posessed, savage vampire with fucked up eyes and stuff. Really not needed. Eli was a scary vampire naturally.

ANOTHER QUICK POINT: Eli's Departure. Someone brought this up in another thread. I've seen the original about 10 times, and I always cry when Eli says she must leave, and Eli's Theme plays, Oskar goes home and his mom screams at him, he shuts the door, goes to the window and cries. The score just ru...

Re: Some quick thoughts on "Let Me In".

YES! I have to agree with you completely on Conny getting whacked scene.

I thought I was alone when I felt this was the second most important scene in the film. It is so powerful in the original.
