Re: Question about Håkan (Spoiler)
Eli makes some remark about not knowing how things work with the "undead." The heart can be a fatal wound for Eli, but not for Håkan. My impression is this is the George Romero type of zombie that carries with it a dim memory of the former self. A childish comical creature. Eli laughs when he disco...

Re: 15 year old girl kills her neighbor
As usual real life horror manages to be worse than the fictional variety. It's true; many people blame the media for a lot, in concerns to various crimes including murder, and demand censorship; but history shows that mankind has done far more sadistic, disturbing and cruel things compared to anyth...

Re: Question about Håkan (Spoiler)
Only that he didn't even have a vampire brain, he was quite brainless… According to Virginia; after being infected another entity with a 'brain' formed around the heart. True, but that was the vampire brain (Håkans brain was dead), it obviously had a far better sense of direction. :) Yes and no; th...

Danderyd Hospital
Is it safe to assume the Danderyd Hospital mentioned in 'Let the Right One In' is the Danderyds sjukhus located in the Danderyd Municipality in northern Greater Stockholm...? If so it'd make sense since Håkan walks to the Traneberg Bridge which would be about eight miles (13.1 km) from the hospital....

Re: Oskar's Parents
No, her name wasn't ever given - I suspect it's because the story is told from Oskar's point of view (POV) and not many children (nor adults) think of, nor refer to their parents as more than "Mom" and "Dad"

Re: Oskar's Parents
Exactly, Oskar's father acted (to say the least) immaturely - I believe that's why there's the scene when... Oskar visits his father; Oskar explains (mentally) how his father would react the same way when he had company and became drunk; he would become the "werewolf" would walk into Oskar's room "n...

Jocke and Håkan
I apologies if this has already been discussed; is Bengtsson a popular surname in Sweden (like Smith or Woods are common in the U.S.)? since both Jocke and Håkan have the surname Bengtsson.

Hmm... perhaps he wrote "p" on the tic tac toe games for papa or something along those lines. Thanks for replying.
