I think it also added to ambiguity, because TA said himself that we can make our own ending, first that Eli saved Oskar and that they left (in that case as Wolfie said: I think that it is one of the few places in this film where Tomas sacrificed realism for dramatic tension. ), or that Oskar drowned...

but all in all in this movie Eli or Lina does more work by acting without words I would say that it's 70 to 30 (acting to speaking) so I think it's not that important, but sure I would like to see some interview with Elif
