I felt bad for Oskar's parents when I first saw the movie and then when finished the book. I think they both really loved him. It must be terrible when your child goes missing without leaving a trace... Yea, especially after three boys are literary torn to peaces that must be a nightmare to a parent.

I think she would become a different person. How so? I just mean that so much of her life seemed to center on Oskar--in her own way, she doted on him, tried to protect him, maybe did not want to see him grow up fast.
