Huzzah, thanks for the screenshots! :D Although I was indeed thinking of the head-on shot after Oskar leaves his father's house. I have the DVD and I was able to get a screenshot, but the quality wasn't too good, bah... If anyone could get a clearer image of this shot, I would appreciate it :D And T...

I interpreted the ending as happy even before the 'epilogue' of sorts from JAL. Perhaps it's because i really feel that Oskar and Eli are perfect for each other, and that their love is one of the purest expressions of emotion I have ever seen in film. Plus, I associate so deeply with Oskar... To see...

Welcome to the site Edelweiss. Like you I have found out the hard way that none of the Swedish book publishers will ship to US. They will however ship to Canada. Unfortunately, unless you know someone in Sweden or Canada your choices are kind of limited....Good luck. You can do it. Just look around...
