Re: My View on LET ME IN - Abby+Owen
Hmmm. Since Owen is the wimpiest of the 3 (Book Oskar, who is confirmed Turned, Movie Oskar, who is 98 percent likely Turned, and Owen, whose current chances of Turning seem to be about 60 percent. Still better then half, because LOTDD has an influence, but that picture strip with Thomas bumps the p...

Re: Why I love LTROI and LMI and why I think most of us do
Funnily, the 'horror' of this romance is...if it's to last, it's only going to do so as undead beings of the night who have to munch people to live. But if you ignore the whole 'munch people' part, LMI, with older characters, has a more sexually charged romance. It also helps Abby is a true female. ...

Re: Thomas to Owen: Can the Cycle Be Broken?
There are two ways to break this cycle. Option A:Abby dies. The cycle obviously ends then. But nobody wants that option. Option B:Owen is turned. And that essentially makes this American LTROI. I think we can throw A out... Which leads to two primary options. The Cycle Continues, or Owen is Turned. ...

I don't mind struggling, so long as I'm in 'Batman' mode, and feeding on some criminal or other.

Re: Can Oskar Swim?
It doesn't matter if Eli can swim. She no longer needs to breathe. so she could just crawl up a riverbank, if push came to shove.
Oskar, however...he's probably a good enough swimmer to keep from drowning, but not swim team material.

Re: 12 year old love
Well, Eli is 12...more or less. Oskar really IS 12. So, Eli views things from her...unknowable perspective, really. It's not possible to stay in a perpetual childlike state for 200 years, so we can only theorize what it must actually be like for her. Speaking of 'her', also /his/ degendered state th...

Re: How vulnerable is Abby?
Mmmm. You do have a point. You pretty much have to hold on to your humanity to fight the 'demon within.' And yes, they bear little resemblence to most other forms of vampire. The closest 'relative' in my opinion is the Buffyverse vampire, but even they have an advantage Eli doesn't have...they're a ...

Re: How vulnerable is Abby?
Heh. That's kinda funny.
We're talking about vampires being more emotionally stable then normal adults. And sadly it's true.

Re: Why does Abby Undress in Owen's bedroom?
Abby is more likely to have a bit of sexuality in mind then is Eli. The major difference between Abby and Eli is that Abby is a true female, and Eli is the castrated Elias. That makes a difference. Then again, Abby, like Eli, asks Owen if her nudity is 'gross.' That's more then the mentality of 'do ...

Now all you need is a Rubik's Cube and some bullies, and you'll never see the sun again.
