Re: The bath *SPOILERS if you haven't read the book*

I think there're no better explanation than JAL let his imagination go too wild. He made mistakes sometime, like, no hospital invitation. :D In the film someone says "you can go in" or something like that... If I remember rightly, according to the narration that 'someone' was none other than JAL!

Re: Last DVD/Movie you bought or watched?

I'm watching the first series of ' Forbrydelsen ' (English title: The Killing), a Danish (subtitled) 20-part crime series on BBC4 at the moment. 4IZUWkghFeQ (not a great trailer unfortunately) It tells the story of a Danish police detective who, on her last day at work before departing for Sweden to...

Re: Learning Swedish

I started learning Svenska with a course I purchased over the net, it was a great starters course and the people of Sweden appreciated my puny knowledge when I attempted to use it over there. But when I would try and they replied in Svenska I was immediately lost. :D I realized that I needed to spe...

The story behind my avatar is more of a question: How can you not fall in love with that smile?

Re: Kindle and Amazon.com

Type 'Public Domain Books' into Google and you're in for a treat Cov - I've downloaded enough literature to keep me going for years, or at least until JAL's next translated book.

Re: Castration Confusion

The idea was possibly based on the real-life Gilles de Rais , who murdered children is a similar ritualistic manner. Maybe. I recently read about Gille de Rais in, of all things, a book about werewolves ( The Book of Were-Wolves - S. (Sabine) Baring-Gould ). Quite a monster by all accounts, but app...

Re: Castration Confusion

(I'm new to the forum so sorry if I break any rules by accident!) In the novel, Oskar has a flashback to the story where Eli is castrated ; I was wondering, and this may have an obvious answer, why did the vampire invite local children to his castle to castrate one? Was it for some sort of ritualis...

And with PINK :D Naw, thanks :) Cos you're a girl, innit? ;) We'll have you speaking like a Chav in no time  Seriously, when I read things like I've posted below, seeing non-native English writers do their best on here is like reading William Shakespeare... INNIT: Derives from the Chav/Tow...
