Re: Sound on Sight.com: LMI Vs. LTROI
Finally echoing the prevailing, mournful tone is Michael Giacchino’s exquisite score, which is achingly poignant and far superior to that of the original Swedish film. Giacchino (who also contributed a piece of music to Cloverfield) sets the tenuous emotional tone of the film using a bell-like keyb...

Re: How do you see the movie working?
I really like danielma's plot outline for the film and like pretty much everyone else agree that Anders has to be the central character that holds everything together. While I didn't care for him much in the book, he's too self-pitying and and lets be honest here a bit of a drunk. However he does ha...

Re: TA Doing More LeCarre? Announcement Next Week on TTSS Se
Whilst I still haven't seen TTSS yet...and I don't really have a problem with franchises in and off themselves...but there is apart of me that would like to see Alfredson move on to other things I'm certain that TTSS is good (if all the buzz is anything to go by)...and I'm certain that if Tomas Alf...

Re: After curiosly looking around on IMDB...(no spoilers her
Personally I didn't think that the film was slow, although it is about as far away from a Bourne film as it's possible to get while staying within the same genre. There are lots of shots of the principle characters seemingly doing nothing important which adds to the leisurely feel of the film. Perso...

Re: Member reviews
The audience were quiet and subdued during and after the film and appeared to be 20's and over, which is pretty much normal for a film like this one. The biggest film here this summer (not counting the last Harry Potter) is 'The Inbetweeners Movie' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1716772/ with a target ...

I thought that it might be a good idea to keep all of the reviews of this film by members in one thread. What follows is my review, there are no spoilers in it. I'll be honest this isn't my most eagerly awaited film of the year, but I was interested to see if Thomas Alfredson could maintain his high...

Re: Playing The Remake Game
I've just watched Paper Moon, so I'm going to Suggest Tatum O'Neal who won an Oscar for that role. http://www.tvmania.ro/wp-content/gallery/cei-mai-celebri-tineri-oscarizati/tatum-oneal.jpg And looking even more boyish with her Oscar. http://por-img.cimcontent.net/api/assets/bin-201105/776d6648153be...

I'm a bit late on this one and I must say that it's interesting to see the choices that have been made so far :) For Abby I would've liked to cast a young Kristen Stewart http://cdn02.cdnwp.celebuzz.com/wp-content/uploads/legacy-imgx/3/0/4/0/8/3/1/orig-3040831.jpg http://img.ezinemark.com/imagemanag...

Re: Just Finished Reading Handling the Undead
This seems to be one of the few books of his available in hardback. LTROI inhardback costs a fortune just about everywhere, possibly due to it's "collector's item" status. Does anybody here (US) ever got a hold of a hardback copy and is it difficult to find in UK? I've never seen a hardback copy of...
