Re: Last book(s) you read?

Reading The Twilight Saga. So far my favorite characters are Dr. Carlisle, Charlie, and Alice. The first book was good. The second one was a little draggy since Bella goes crazy but once Alice shows up the plot moves a long. I just started the third book and so far it is ok. Good concise reviews th...

Re: Are O&E gay?

Personally I've always thought of them having an attraction to each other that developed from a friendship. Compare this to Brokeback Mountain and another attraction that developed from a friendship... As ACL has pointed out what the difference is that there is no sexual component to this relationsh...

I've seen the original and can tell you I found that scene difficult to watch, it's very brutal and goes on for a long time :(

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Thrones http://theoriginalwinger.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Sherlock_Holmes_2_movie_Poster.jpeg This is actually the first Guy Richie film that I've seen at the cinema and I know now why that is. No offence intended to anyone here but I'm really not the target audience...

Re: Sound on Sight.com: LMI Vs. LTROI

Finally echoing the prevailing, mournful tone is Michael Giacchino’s exquisite score, which is achingly poignant and far superior to that of the original Swedish film. Giacchino (who also contributed a piece of music to Cloverfield) sets the tenuous emotional tone of the film using a bell-like keyb...

Re: Favorite Christmas Music

Good choice Nightrider that was my favourite Christmas song for a long time, even if it does 'borrow' a lot of Prokofiev's Sleigh Bells.

Re: Last DVD/Movie you bought or watched?

It looks like we mostly agree on this one then :) Regarding your spoilered message, all I've got to say is that there were two people left alive at the end of the 1982 film and that wasn't followed up by a sequel. The Host http://www.abscons.org/wp-content/2008/11/the_host.jpg I liked this a lot, it...

While this thread has an Italian feel here's Rondo Veneziano - La Serenissima
A great track, but far too short IMO.

The Thing http://thefilmstage.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/The_thing_Hi-Res-One-Sheet-650x962.jpg Unsurprisingly this isn't as good as John Carpenter's 1982 film of the same name, however it does have some merit. What it does do is to to show too much of the alien in it's various forms and what it...

Re: Best & Worst of Twilight

Good articles, I agree with what you've written. The only thing that I would add is that Edward's dangerous aspect is much in evidence in the unpublished 'Midnight Sun' which is currently available as a free download from Stephenie Meyer's home page.
