Re: Kåre or Kodi - who was the better Oskar?
Oskar as played by Kåre was closer to the character described in the novel. No question. Speaking from a strictly performance perspective, though, I think Kodi did a better job, as I was able to empathize with him considerably more.

Re: Some quick thoughts on "Let Me In".
I'd forgotten about the "I do it because I have to" glimpse from the TV spots. I was also disappointed not to see the sequence where the peeking sunlight awakens the sleeping Abby. I, for one, am hoping for a three-hour extended director's cut.

Let Me In - My Thoughts
I caught a midnight screening last night. Here are some thoughts. What I Liked The performances from the cast, particularly the two young leads. Kodi's Owen really made you feel for his plight and I was able to connect with him emotionally more than I did with Kåre Hedebrant's Oskar in the original....

Re: Abby's Back-story?
Well, that's a bit different from the back-story in the novel, but if it will help portray Abby as the damaged, lonely soul that she is, I'll take it. Hopefully we'll see it on the screen.

Re: New American trailer
I love the fact that we finally get to see Richard Jenkins and the bullies, but I think I still prefer the international trailer because it was more compact and intense. The music at the beginning of this latest trailer also sounds like something out of E.T.

Re: International Trailer Is Here!
And then 00:45, I don't think that is a melty-faced Richard Jenkins. I think that is Owen wearing a partial translucent mask of sort, while role playing with his knife. You see the same mask on top of his head at 00:54 as he looks through the telescope. That scene with the mask in front of the mirr...

Re: More Test Screening?
Well, hopefully, Reeves will catch wind of some of these comments and make the right changes. There's still time before the October release. Personally, I'm annoyed that Eli's backstory was cut out. I thought that was one of the few things that would help the remake differentiate itself slightly fro...

Re: First draft of screenplay available online
I finished reading the screenplay last night and I must say I really liked it for the most part. While it's true that some scenes, such as the initial encounter with Abby and the Rubik's cube scene, not to mention the pool sequence, mimic those in the original film closely, there were enough small a...

Re: So when can we expect a trailer/teaser?
It looks like the big "treat" promised by Hammer is the production still of Owen and Abby that we've already seen and a new on-set photo of Reeves. Color me underwhelmed.
