I figure out the basic structure, and then finish with the colored blocks.PeteMork wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 3:38 amThere now! You've done it again. In the first picture, all the blocks/tiles (at least on the floor) are the same color. In the third, there are distinctive colored patterns. That's why I asked earlier if you painted them somehow. So when you're getting close to done, do you replace some of them with colored ones to make the pattern?

Is the structure between the two pits based on archaeology, or your imagination? (Or both?)

I've actually spent the last couple hours learning more about stepwells, thanks to your magnificent recreation. I was surprised to find that there are a large number of them still existing in India, in various stages of disrepair. Some of them are quite beautiful in spite of their lack of care or maintenance. I hope India can find the resources to protect these sites while there's still anything left of them.

Yes, they are really unique and fascinating. It would be a shame if they are not preserved.PeteMork wrote: ↑Sun Mar 25, 2018 3:19 amI've actually spent the last couple hours learning more about stepwells, thanks to your magnificent recreation.
