Thank you so much for all the hard work you've gone to, to keep the site running all these years and all the extra work getting things back in order after the unexpected software updates. We all appreciate it; some, more than you know.

I expect you'll ask the moderators to render whatever assistance they might be able to offer. I'll certainly do whatever I can.

It's looking good! I've been wandering links between the two sides and have not found any issues. Nice work. Sorry you had to grind through it.

I've found a few problems:

In "Coming in from the Cold," (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=951) the original link to the first chapter doesn't work, but I worked out a link that does:

Old link: http://let-the-right-one-in.com/fancont ... the-outing
New link (01/06/20): http://let-the-right-one-in.com/fancontent/node/143

This seems to be a problem for many chapter links here and in the full version in Fan Art; the collaboration with Danielether. (viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7415) None of the individual chapters containing the art, link properly.

This is also a problem for "The Eli Chronicles." (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3417&hilit=Chronicles) Chapter links don't always work. This link that I worked out, does:

I am able to fix these links manually. I had spot checked a few of the back links from the forum to the fan fic before I went live with this site, and the ones that I happened to look at worked so I presumed (hoped) that they all worked.

I went through all of the links in that thread that I could finds and fixed them in the Fan Fic (although in one place I had to edit the URLs both in the thread and the Fan Fic to fix it). LMK if I missed any.
This is also a problem for "The Eli Chronicles." (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3417&hilit=Chronicles) Chapter links don't always work. This link that I worked out, does:

Hmm... I spot checked three or four and they all worked for me, both those of the form
http://let-the-right-one-in.com/fancontent/node/695

and those of the form
http://let-the-right-one-in.com/fancont ... he-bargain

I'm not sure that there will be an automated way to find or fix these broken links. I guess as they are found, post them in this thread. As time allows, I will fix them and then edit the post here to indicate that I believe they are fixed. My highest priority on Fan Content is making sure that the existing content is available to view.

Thanks, Wolfie! If these link equivalencies aren't going to change in the future, I can certainly go through any bad ones I find left in my own posts at least, and convert the ones with chapter names to the numbered ones, i.e., …/node/nnn

I'll leave that up to you, but if it were me I'd go with the ones that approximate human-readable text. ;)
