Im a little confused from a part of the ending. When they are standing on the rock and looking out at the devistation the wave caused, JAL mentions how the island next to Gavasten had people on it and were all killed. Who were the people on the Island? was it maybe people from the ferry that Simon and Anna Gretta were on that took refuge? help me out here haha.

Great book by the way thank you JAL

I think the ferry was further out to sea, and it doesn't say anything about anyone elaving the ferry.

IIRC the ferry "only" got stuck in the ice, on its way into Kapellskär. I get an mage of the ferry not being far away, though.

To me I thought that it referred to the other people that lived near were they were. I think it was either Anna-Greta or Simon who told Anders to think about what he was going to do since it would affect others.

I believe they were the other people captured by the island, the people Anders found in the other world.
