Eli wouldn't be Eli for me if he wasn't the forever 12 year old that he is.
Good point. An Eli that ages just isn't the same, it would fundamentally change her.

one of my favourite vampire mythologys is in the Legacy Of Kain series, the vampires don't age, though they do evolve over time.
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFiLNc46jAM one of my fave game intros of all time.

another favourite immortal of mine is Doctor Who character, Captain Jack Harkness who over millions of years completely changes his physiology to become the Face of Boe
Given what we know about Eli, that she cannot age mentally or physically, I am not sure that she can evolve (much) either.

Edit: Re-read the post, who knows what could happen over such a long period.

It would change her but I think it's what she has wanted for a very long time. Oskar is her portal to the normal world that she has missed for so long. Also changing Oskar fundementally changes him
But he, whose heart a skogsrå steals it never will recover. His soul will long for moonlight dreams and no mere mortal lover...
