How many times have you seen it at the cinema?

Post by Aurora » Thu Mar 03, 2011 8:53 am

There's been a lot of talk about seeing LTROI at the cinema recently, so I thought that I'd start a thread asking how many times people have seen it at a cinema.

Personally I've seen it four times, twice when it was on general release here in UK. The first time was at my local multiplex, not many people there but a great experience as I didn't know the story then. The second time was a couple of weeks later when it was playing at much smaller theatre, but this time it was about half full. The third and fourth times were 'one off' special showings at my local multiplex, both times there weren't many people at the screenings.

Four times. One in a preview screening in Sept. 09 and three more times during the film's regular theatrical run in December same year. :geek:

I believe I saw it six times in theatres; most of the time in film festivals. It did much better, attendance-wise, in the film festivals. I saw it once in a theatre where I was one of two viewers. But---the remake didn't do much better. No big crowds for it either. Definitely not a big draw. :(
