I got to see LTROI on the big screen at last!

Post by thestich » Sat Nov 19, 2011 6:14 pm

Last night at 23:00 hours I got to see LTROI in living color!!!

In wide screen!!!

At a Theater!!!

As usual I did not know about LTROI when it was first in the theaters. I missed all of the showings that I maybe could have made it to for various reasons, and was scheduled to be out of town for this one. Thank the gods the trip was canceled.

I am guessing this is the last chance I would ever have had.

Screening had about 20 very quiet people.

Image was a little dark and the screen had some stains (old single screen theater called the Times Cinema), but I am not complaining (or at least not much). The sound was great!!

I feel blessed, in a non religulous way, that I was able to see this on a big screen over 3 years after it came out, and it is a foreign subtitled movie......

Gushing is over!!!

I agree.... Thus the blessed stuff!!!! :D

Off subject, Intrige, how much daylight do you see this time of year in Norway if you do not mind my asking? You do not need to reply.

Around 9 a clock in the morning the sun begin to come up, and two a clock before dinner it's almost down allready. People up here get tired, sad and many go to the solarium. I don't. 8-) I am not offended by this at all, any more questions, PM me, I am not afraid to answer ;)

Translate: Me am JEALOUS

I know I was for all of the other folks who had the chance before me.... :)

Shame no one else could make it, but we are a widely scattered group.

I feel very fortunate to have been able to see it seven times in the theater.

I think if I'd seen it in a theatre it would have made such a difference as to my appreciation of the movie. I felt the difference already when I listened to the music with quality headphones for the first time, instead of hearing it through the terrible speaker built into my computer. Sound is so much more important than we realize in terms of appreciating a film and this one in particular has such amazing music. If it ever comes around where I live I'll definitely go see it.
