Bedroom scene. Eli to Oskar...
And when I touch you I feel happy inside
It's such a feeling that my love
I can't hide, I can't hide, I can't hide

Yeah, you got that something

I think you'll understand
When I say that something
I want to hold your hand

I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand

Oskar singing to Eli in Let the old dreams die, but I am sure it can work both ways ;)
"Dark Waltz"

We are the lucky ones
We shine like a thousand suns
When all of the colour runs together

I'll keep you company
In one glorious harmony
Waltzing with destiny forever

Dance me into the night
Underneath the moon shining so bright
Turning me into the light

Time dances whirling past
I gaze through the looking glass
And feel just beyond my grasp is heaven

Sacred geometry
Where movement is poetry
Visions of you and me forever

Dance me into the night
Underneath the moon shining so bright
Turning me into the light

Dance me into the night
Underneath the moon shining so bright
Let the dark waltz begin
Oh let me wheel - let me spin
Let it take me again
Turning me into the light
The song is also insanely beautiful:
Bulleri bulleri buck, hur många horn står upp

I wrote this for the scene when Oskar finds the Rubik's cube solved the next morning by the snow.

For the first time
I can smile
I know is happiness
What is like to be waited for
Is not a dream
I see the cube
All sides are solved
So...
For the first time in a while
This big smile comes to me
This lost joy comes
The sun is shinning brightly
I cannot wait for tonight
Because I know that
You will be waiting for
Me

When Eli and Oskar are riding in the train.

The song is called "Only Human" sung by K.

"It’s said that there is a smile
On the opposite side of sadness
Up ahead from where I’m going to arrive at
Just what is it that’s waiting for me?"

It reminded about what Eli and Oskar are waiting for once their ride on the train ends and what awaits them after that.

One of my favorites...especially as sung by Hayley Westenra. That last note ... is mesmerizing.
We never stop reading, although every book comes to an end, just as we never stop living, although death is certain. (Roberto Bolaño)
