I watched the film for the first time a little bit ago. I've been infected real hard since-i would even call myself a little obsessed.
A couple of days after I listened to the song
MYTH by Beach House for the first time and it reminded me of the film immediately.
Drifting in and out
You see what road you’re on
It came rolling down your cheek
You say just what you mean
And in between it’s never as it seems
Help me to name it
Help me to name it
If you built yourself a myth
You’d know just what to give
What comes after this
Momentary bliss, the consequence
Of what you do to me
Help me to name it
Help me to name it
Found yourself in a new direction
Arrows falling from the sun
Canyon calling
Would they come to greet you
Let you know you’re not the only one
Can’t keep hanging on to what is dead and gone
If you build yourself a myth
You’d know just what to give
Materialize
Or let the ashes fly
Help me to name it
Help me to name it

Hi, Saden. Welcome to We The Infected
.
"For a few seconds Oskar saw through Eli’s eyes. And what he saw was … himself. Only much better, more handsome, stronger than what he thought of himself. Seen with love."

Thanks! It's too bad I've come into the community so late, but better now than even later, I guess. At least, this place tells me I'm not crazy for being so fixated on this film

What do you mean by that? I think we all found this place the same way-by falling in love with a wonderful film.

Well, some of us fell in love with the book first.

De höll om varandra i tystnad. Oskar blundade och visste: detta var det största. Ljuset från lyktan i portvalvet trängde svagt in genom hans slutna ögonlock, la en hinna av rött för hans ögon. Det största.

Siggdalos. How quickly a year can slip by. You have contributed so much.

And I don't plan to stop anytime soon!

for Oskar...
I heard Ordinary World by Duran Duran today and it took me back to the scenes near the movie's end. Oskar watches as the taxi departs from under his window and heads out of sight into the darkness. There are long shots of him by the window. And the view of the empty apartment where his friend so briefly lived. There will be no more visits, no more tapping through the wall, no more adventures together. Everything they had built up just drove off into the night with her. Eli is gone and he's left to crash back to where he was: alone and desperate. For me, today, Ordinary World was all about this moment of grief.
I'd like to add another song to this scenes. Maybe Patrick is a little over the top here, but nevertheless it fits for me.
