The perfect double feature :!:

I wouldn't mind seeing LTROI with "Under the Skin" (2013). UTS reminds me of LTROI in terms of being a film with great cinematography, minimal dialogue, haunting soundtrack, and a "show, don't tell" approach.

My Life As A Dog is a great sugestion. I would sugest The Orphanege or The Babadook as they are both beutifuly well thought out horror movies that offer more then just scares. I would also recomend We Need To Talk About Kevin which is what I imagine what would have happened to Oscer if he never ran into Eli.

Four great suggestions, Wig Man. So many films so far, and so well thought out. The water in this forum runs strong and deep.

One film is about two children who happen to meet and relationship progresses into a dark love story.
In the other one seeks out the other for unlawfull intimacy the other for justice. Eli keeps a peadophile as a servant Ellen Page (I can't recall her name in HC) seeks to find one and remove him from existence.
There seem a good contrast to me and both are very good films.

I haven't seen it yet, but "A Girls Walks Home Alone At Night" is being compared to LTROI and this festival has put them together : http://www.metrocinema.org/fest_view/252/

I'll tell you all about it when I get my Blu-ray of it in mid to late April! :D

Looks like I might be seeing it this weekend at my local art house. The preview looks great!
