I want this song!!

Post by Theinfected914 » Sun May 16, 2010 4:34 am

The scene where Oskar plays this song reminds me so much of me and my first girlfriend--19. The only one for that matter. She played this song by The Used called: Blue and Yellow. I remember sitting in the living room and I almost started to cry. I don't know why I almost did, guess it's because I'm not the type of person to, "Waste time with."

I like the beat, I don't care that I can't understand a word this guy sings. And, I do know that the artist has kept it unreleased. Does anyone know if he'll someday release it? If not, do it!!!!!!!!!

After watching the film, one of the first things I did was to look for this song. I looked EVERYWHERE, and it is not available for sale or download. After checking numerous web sites I read that Per Gessle will obtain rights to the song after the 5th anniversary of LTROI's release. I guess that would be 2013. Long wait, eh? :(

Yup, it really is a shame it wasn't released while you can actually find the lyrics on Gessle's website:

Do you have a source/link on this 5th anniversary info? I wonder if someone will release it then.

I visited so damn many sites, I can't remember where I seen it! I do remember that the song was an actual "outtake" from his solo album "En Handig Man" ... can you believe it? A FREAKING OUTTAKE! Arrgh!!! :x
The idea in the film was for the song to resemble the famous 80's pop group, "Gyllene Tider"

Hey, M J ...... any chance of posting those lyrics in English? ;)

We should ask for help from one of our Swedish friends. Someone translated it once, but it was back in the good ol' IMDb days before Wolf's site, so it's impossible to track that post down.

There's a translation in this article, admittedly made with the help of Google Translate, and I can't tell how accurate it is:

Someone should organize a petition to get this song out.
She's beautiful as well as interesting, isn't she?
She's beautiful-that's always interesting.

Left In My Car

Left over from yesterday
Your dark perfume
Your scent of your hair
I don’t want to hear it
But it still echoes
All that you said:
“You’ve got to leave”

Left in my car
On the seat in the back
A tattered diary
A dry piece of chocolate
All of my heart
Crushed like glass
Trashed when you said
“You’ve got to leave”

Where should I run?
What will I come to?
The streets are filled
People two by two
Left in my car
Is just me
And all that you said:
“You’ve got to leave”
