Something I finally figured out.

In the scene where Eli is about to give Oskar the bloody kiss, I never could quite understand what Eli said to him before the kiss. There were three words. I caught "Jag måste", but I couldn't quite make out what the third word was. So today, I went back and watched that particular scene and finally caught the word. It was "åka". Since I've picked up a little Swedish in the past few years, I remembered there are two different words used if one is going somewhere. One is "gå", which actually means "walk", and the other one is "åka", which means "transport". The second word is used if one is going by some other means than on foot.

I orginally thought Eli had said "walka" (never heard of that one!), but that didn't make any sense. Glad I finally figured it out! :D

"I have to go". Is that what's she saying?

That is it in a nutshell. Plus she is telling Oskar that she has to leave quickly, which doesn't mean on foot. In English, "go" will suffice for any way one chooses to leave. But Swedish has two words to differentiate between going on foot or going by some form of transport.

Of course, she could fly were it not for all her belongings.

Actually, there are many words that could be used.
= walk.
Åka = travel in some vehicle.
Köra = drive some vehicle.
Fara = travel.
Resa = travel.
Etc...

Then... "I have to go (somewhere faraway)", uh?
I love the way he accepts it without any further questioning, anyway...
