If you wanted to show a second film along with LTROI in your private theater in your Malibu mansion, what would it be?

I would choose Grave of the Fireflies. When I saw LTROI that is the movie that came into my mind. I see some similarities between the two movies. How the kids struggle to survive in a world that has no place for them.

I would choose Carrie (1976). Both movies are about bullying and both movies end with a massacre.
Like LTROI, Carrie is more a drama than a typical horror movie.

I would screen LTROI and Wall-E side by side. They are very different, and one is animated. But at their cores, there is a strong lovestory.

LTROI and The Notebook. I guess a romantic at heart. What blew me away was that at the end, we find out that he was telling her their story each day so she would remember how much they loved each other

LTROI and The Hunger. Two very different book-to-film adaptations about vampires and their companions.

Let The Right One In(2008) and Martin (1976)
In spite of being made in different eras and crafted by filmmakers with contrasting styles these two movies are true soul mates.
Both deal with similar themes and both create realistic environments filled with captivating characters.
Now that's the Double Feature I'd stand in line for...in the snow...on Tuesday night.
It's just worth it.

My Life as a Dog. It's a good Swedish 'coming of age' story that I've seen compared to LTROI from time to time.
Also there was kind of a 'reverse LTROI' gender confusion going on for me with one of the characters.
I wasn't paying attention I guess to the subtitles and I missed that she was supposed to be a girl until a certain scene.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show... Why you may ask? Because this is how the message ran: Science Fiction - "Double Feature". Haha, although I don't think it quite has the sensibility to play back to back with LTROI, it was just the first thing that came to mind when I saw "Double Feature". Maybe Hesher, a black comedy/drama. Although Metallica do most of the music for the film, and although they may be good musicians, I think they are the biggest bunch of tryhards! And before I make any enemies by saying that, c'mon, we all know Varg Vikernes is way cooler... although I think I might have just made a few more...

Persona - Swedish, questions of identity, blood ingestion
or
The Tenant - recurrence, questions of identity, transvestism
both psychological horror movies
