Yes! I have it already!

...
You should have read it (LTODD) by now. Comments?
But from the beginning Eli was just Eli. Nothing. Anything. And he is still a mystery to me. John Ajvide Lindqvist

It's been worth the wait. I haven't had time to read it as carefully as it deserves yet because I look after my 99 year old grandmother, who keeps me occupied!

I think most of us know at least the bare bones of LTODD so I don't think think what I write contains spoilers but I've hidden it anyway.

I must read it again tonight. As someone wrote here, being familiar with book and film LTROI adds to the experience. It feels as though Eli and Oskar are present throughoutand where have I read the words like 'that's just the way it is' before, and that someone 'looked at me as though he were searching for something'?

When the narrator goes to Stefan and Karin's empty cottage I couldn't help but think of the scene in the film where Oskar returns to Eli's vacated apartment and looks around, deep in his memories.

Hands play their part in this story as well, Stefan, Karin, the narrator and of course, Eli and Oskar.

No doubt there will be much discussion once everyone receives their copies.

Wow... Everyone's got it now but me!

I went to every single bookshop in town, a town of 146000 and it wasn't there in any of them- they were still waiting for their deliveries. :x

I'm seriously going crazy here. What am I going to do? Arrgh

The book is being published here in the US?

At any rate I am going to wait and get this as a Christmas present.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

There's no current plans for US release of LTODD. The only JAL related news is a domestic publication of Little Star in October.
