Predictions on LTROI's Epilogue

1) Eli will NOT turn Oskar into a Vampire

Without Hakan, Oscar is more useful to her as a human. Eli has lived for more than 200 yrs, and I believe this little vampire couldn't do it alone without human assistance. Oscar is her Hakan now. Besides, turning Oscar into a new vampire will only complicate matters. it's not easy to replace a Hakan. Who else does she have besides human Oscar?

2) This is the end of the road for Eli

She's managed to survive for 200 years. It was a good run. But now all she has left is young Oscar. She is so screwed. (Does she have the patience and time to see him become a future serial killer?)

3) Oscar replaces Hakan as the "new man" in Eli's life

With Hakan gone, Eli finally invited Oscar into her apartment and into her life.

I have no idea. We also have editrices comment:

However, I can say that for me it didn't destroy the magic of the novel itself one bit.

My love for LTROI is unflinching. It was my first, it was my own script and it will always have a special place in my heart that nothing done from my writing will ever replace or eclipse.

I guess not too much "external" could be added without reducing the magic of LTROI, but I guess another vampire could be tolerated.

Sorry, this is the only way I could see not ending up in disaster . This would mean Eli would have to find another human to help her however. Though I think there are many who will gladly give their lives for her. The worst times are of the past, I could see people being more accepting towards Eli and her condition in the future. As long as she stay in Sweden that is .

I think this would be worse than 'Oskar at 40,' barring a deus ex machina solving the feeding question.
