Well, Oskar did have exeptionally high volume on. I remember from the novel that it described he could hear the music clearly even when it was Eli who had the headphones. That is WAY TO LOUD for vampire ears

Also, Eli is a child of the 18th centuary, he is not used to rock music.

If that was so, vampires would be proven of being "holy" in nature instead of demonic. I don't think they are either in LTROI though. I wonder what effect psalms would have on Eli, probably none as there is no support for Eli being weak against "holy".
In fact, it is not immpossible that hallowed ground may be more accessible to vampires and do not require invitation becuase of the connection to the spirit world. That of course depends if LTROI vampire are supernatural in nature or not, and if so, what kind?
