What came first...

Re: What came first...
Mine was an odd one.
I watched 'Let me in' on satelite tv and liked it a lot then watched 'Let the right one in' movie then read the book.

I don't have a great memory, but I believe that I was halfway through the book when I saw the movie then I finished the book. It was something odd like that.
and the movie was horrifying. I recall having a day long intermission and all I could think about was how Elias is so going to beat up Oskar and end the film right then and there. And of course I watched the movie at midnight with all the lights turned out- best way to watch movies.
The cats were my favorite characters.
I saw the American interpretation, maybe two years later...?

Re: What came first...
This is a quote I found on the net from someone who had just seen the film. This is how I and many others felt after initally viewing "Let The Right One In" for the first time. This was the start of my infection....I don't believe there's another movie out there that affects human hearts the same way...

This movie has been on my mind for a few days now even though I haven't seen it in 3 days. It's hauntingly beautiful and it stays with you like a vague dream.

hello
i am quite new here and this is my first forumentry. i am really happy that i found this side and forum and i am really looking forward to read and writte here.
my case is quite a strange one. i saw LTROI like in 2010 i think and i was really overwelmed by the haunting beauty of this movie. but then... to my shame, i forgot about it.
this where quit troubled times for me and i hat to deal with a lot of stress back then. but then, a few weeks ago, heard about LMI i remebered this beautyfull story. i bought both dvds and watched in instandly. but i watched LTRI at least 15 times in the last few weeks. a few days ago i finished the book and i cant describe how nightmarish but also enchanting and beautiful i think it is.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

Good to see you here. Yes it is a mixture of the horrible and, well . . .
thank you!
and i have do say that i nearly can't forgive myself that i simply forgot about this wonderfull story when i saw the LTROI for the first time back in 2010
especially in troubled times you need to hear stories like this one, so you dont forget that there a such things like constancy, loyalty, and love
