I happened to come upon a YouTube channel where a Swedish girl documents her explorations of old, abandoned houses. Some of these are quite ruined, but others seem to be in relatively good condition - certainly good enough for someone who isn't bothered too much about a lack of heating.
The young woman says that this house was built in the early 19th century, and then she tells a little about the people who lived there. She often does this for houses she visits - I believe she researches the houses through old so-called "kyrkböcker" (church books), where the people in a parish were registered. These books are nowadays available on the Internet, or at least some of them are.
