Learning Swedish with the novel
This is a half baked thought/question, but here goes. Has anyone tried to learn Swedish by reading Let the Right One In?
Re: Learning Swedish with the novel
There used to be a couple of members who studied Swedish for reading the novel.
I don't think they are active here these days.

But from the beginning Eli was just Eli. Nothing. Anything. And he is still a mystery to me. John Ajvide Lindqvist
Re: Learning Swedish with the novel
I can say I am using LTROI/LdRKI as one of the sources I can find for helping me to learn Swedish. I have the novel in German, English and now Swedish. However, it is only because of my familiarity with story that I can open a section and make progress.
Where I live, finding anything in Swedish is almost impossible. For the few books I have found, I quickly find I am unable to follow along except at a slow pace.
Yet because I remain such a fan of the story, especially how it is in the novel, I do try to read along and see how well I can do.
