A new role for Lina???

Post by gary13136 » Sat Jul 10, 2010 12:04 pm

I received a Google Alert with a post to IMDB. Someone had posted a URL which I wasn't able to access. There was one reply to the post which mentioned that she apparently is going to be in a movie scheduled for 2011. The link was supposed to be to FeatureOne Films. So if anyone in the forum can find more info, I'm sure everyone would be interested. I tried the link (leaving out the extra "w") but it wouldn't work.

Veeery interesting! I had a look around and could find no specific info on a story just the "Little Mother" reference that apparently originated in Sweden or Norway.

Excellent. Nothing's guaranteed, but it'd be great if she had a long career with acting.

Good find gary13136!
Thanks. The real thanks should go to Google Alerts; occasionally they will find a gem. The title of the movie might be a little bit revealing. It suggests a title dealing with the subject of teenage pregnancy. And of course it might mean nothing of the kind.

Anyway, thanks for finding some basic info. According to the Google Alert, this info only became available in the last 24 hours, so this might be all that's available at the moment.

I'm not entirely convinced, but hope it will be good...

That's good to hear.

I sincerely hope her acting career goes long and well.

I did a search on "Lillemor", and it turns out that at one time it was a popular name for girls in Norway, especially during the '30s and '40s. But it is currently out of favor, although there are about 11,000 females in Norway with this name. It is said if you mention this name in Norway, you might get a frown. It is sort of compared with Mildred, which isn't popular now either.

So perhaps this movie just has a character named Lillemor, and is set in the early 20th century. Might not have anything to do with teenage pregnancy as I previously suggested.

Wouldn't it be funny if we came up with a movie about a vampire named-------Nah! Just ain't gonna happen

Just did a quick google (Swedish/Norwegian), but didn't find anything. Except for a possible Finnish link I couldnt read.

And true gary, there is much noise about "Lillemor" (reminding me of trying to google the homepage of a local sushi bar "Kyoto"...)

I'm encouraged by the word "independent". This suggests someone with imagination. Someone who will come up with something really different.
