First Photo of Chloe Moretz as Abby

You should post things like this in the Fan Art section. That would make them easier to find.
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

I like it how official LMI photos come down as fan-art pieces because they are in that section. I guess this is totally unintentional, but isn't is easier to accept Let Me In as a LTROI fanfilm?
And we danced, on the brink of an unknown future, to an echo from a vanished past.

Absolutely. That has always been my path to acceptance of the concept of a remake. I believe that Matt Reeves could have a place among The Infected. I believe that he intends to make Let Me In as much a celebration of the original story as any other piece of Fan content. I have come to have faith in him.Microwave Jellyfish wrote:I like it how official LMI photos come down as fan-art pieces because they are in that section. However, I doubt that this is true for the film's financial backers, but then none of them have ever claimed otherwise - except for Simon Oakes. I believe that one could accuse him of dissembling on this topic.

Boom. In your face. A a carbon copy of the original LTROI scene. Now wait... Didn't Matt Reeves say this wouldn't be a remake?

It strikes me as ironic that this version is completely chickening out on the whole gender/sex issue, and yet Chloe looks much more boyish in the role than Lina did. Maybe this is Matt's way of nodding to the topic without fully taking it on.Balb Kubrox wrote:not to be mean but I would never guess thats a girl.
Re: First Photo of Chloe Moretz as Abby
I think I disagree with everyone here...sure that angle doesn't really define her but then you look at the close up image and she looks more like a girl than what this angle presents her...I think its just the angle of the shot that looks a little decieving there, so I kind of disagree. Just simply because the close up shot does make her look more girlish than boyish

You could describe the original in much the same way. "Get that cancer pig out of here!" Judging from the snippets of dialogue etc. Matt Reeves seems interested in the androgyny theme.armyofdorkness wrote:It strikes me as ironic that this version is completely chickening out on the whole gender/sex issue, and yet Chloe looks much more boyish in the role than Lina did. I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.
