Let Me In ranks 6 in box office for Friday

www.the-numbers.com

Let Me In came in 6th on Friday.

It could build up a bit for the rest of the weekend, but I'm guessing it'll come in at number 5 at the MOST.

yeah i`ve seen it twice in the last two days and both times there were about 15-20 adults getting tickets for let me in...and then you had the masses of 14 to 18 year olds filing in to see the ever so cool"facebook"movie.kinda like 2008 when LTROI got smashed by twilight...yeah i still haven`t seen twilight and i doubt that i`ll be checking out the"facebook"movie anytime soon.i think i`ll stick with the grown-up movies....wait what was your point again??

I thought it was going to get at least third place.

Lol, I saw "The Social Network" and LOVED it. Liked it a lot more than Let Me In.

Only reason I even care about see the Social Network is that Trent Reznor(Nine Inch Nails) did the soundtrack for it.

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/

Weekend gross: $5,300,000, did slightly worse than Case 39 which took in $5,350,000. If LMI becomes popular will probably be through DVD/Blu-ray. The commercial appeal of vampires these days must be limited to the vamps of True Blood and the critically acclaimed and much loved (gag) Twilight series.

I'm surprised it did so poorly based off of all the advertising and good reviews it received before it had its opening weekend.
