Since there has been some discussion I just wanted to make my own position clear on this Comic-Book-Spinoff thing.
No one has spoken to me about it. Never heard a word about it until the press release.
And I am deeply against it.
I will do what is in my power to stop this from happening. I cannot see how they can possibly have the right to do a thing like this without acquiring some kind of rights from me. I find it quite offensive that they weave such plans for my characters without even once asking how I feel about it.
A straight comic-book adaptation of the novel might be one thing, but this thing being planned … I loathe it.
So. Now you know me view on this, dear infected.

P.S. The very few personal e-mails that I have gotten through this page, I won´t answer them. Sorry, sorry, but I don´t want to start walking down that path. The Facebook page that exists with my name on it is not made by me, I don´t do these things. I do appreciate your interest (Otherwise I wouldn´t be here, would I?) but I won´t go into personal communication. I hope you understand. D.S.

Hey, thanks for this insight. We've been wondering if you had any part in this. It's pretty sad how they can do whatever they want without your permission.

But I guess you still have faith in Matt Reeves' work, and I hope the new film won't let you down, no matter how America treats your characters when it comes to spin-offs and advertising. Keep up the good work etc. and thanks for visiting us again.

To be honest, I really didn't give much thought to a comic book version of Let Me In until now since I don't pay much attention to comic books. Then again I am not the creator.

If johnajvide is against it, then I am against it to.

A comic could, theoretically, be as well and sensitively handled as the film.

But allowing a bunch of crooks to steal your IPR and ride roughshod over your characters and plot, surely that's another matter entirely, with a big NO attached.

While I'm kind of curious to see the art style behind it, and morbidly curious to see the story they choose to depict. I can't say I'm terribly excited over the prospect of it....Shame too I was really starting to warm up to the whole Let Me In deal.

I have to say though, with this dreadful idea of a comic book spin off and the dreadful potential that it could end up being there own take on an epilouge or such. Is there any chance it might light the passion a little further to give us your true epilouge to the story

On a quick little geek note because I can, I can't wait for Human Harbor to get its English Translation, I'm dying to read your third book.
