Slightly OT: The laugh fest that is IMDB
So quick question. Does anyone else here visit the IMDB boards for LMI?
I know Cyber does, and I'd be anxious to hear his thoughts.
But yes does anyone else visit that board? And does anyone else think its become a total laugh fest. Whether it be the constant same old posting over and over again of "why are they remaking this blah" to the consistency of people trying to convince themselves it is a flat out new adaptation of the book, for the record I don't really care anymore that it isn't. I would have liked and prefered a new adaption but I've come to terms that its a remake, but anyways. I've been over at IMDB on that board pretty much since day 1 and now I can't even bring myself to post there, its just too laughable.
So anyone else feel the same about it lately?

I really don't see the point in a thread for a movie which isn't released yet. But I suppose those who really feel a need to vent can vent there as well as anywhere else. I went to that thread once a good while back, and I didn't find it interesting at all.

(reluctantly raises hand) I do.
I started following that board for news about the remake, which led me to the LTROI board, which led me to here, so I guess it served some purpose. I do post there once in a a while.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

I've not checked out LMI at IMDB for a while, but I do still see what's going on for LTROI there fairly regularly. Although anymore, it seems like most of the new posts are on the same old topics, just by new people.

I have to say that after finding this place I haven't felt the need to go back to the IMDb boards. I remember those times fondly though. I wonder if GrulleBulle is still around...

The IMDB boards were infinitely more entertaining than the remake.

I'm avoiding the Let Me In imdb board at this point, mainly because it doesn't really seem to have an atmosphere conducive to good discussion any more. There are some posters over there, both supporters and detractors of the film, that I can't stand.
