Oh, by the way, i also want to use this post to say im still alive and i try to read the forum, at least once per month. (And every time i check it is as wonderful as always) My absolute lack of any input (if i ever did any) is due to an, agh, inhumanly busy schedule. But im having some kind of break this days so at least i'll try to post my gratefulness somewhere else

FWIW: I believe the name of the hostette is Tilde De Paula.
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

I want to read the translation that Bore posted but I'm afraid I'll read some spoilers regarding Let the Old Dreams Die because I haven't read it yet. Can someone let me know if its safe to read? Thanks

At the moment only half of the interview have been translated.Doosty wrote:I want to read the translation that Bore posted but I'm afraid I'll read some spoilers regarding Let the Old Dreams Die because I haven't read it yet. Can someone let me know if its safe to read? Thanks.
There is indeed a spoiler in it, but it is about Harbour, not about Let the Old Dreams Die.

Uppsamlingheat it is not really a real Swedish word. It could very well be that JAL is the first one ever to use it.Wolfchild wrote:"Collecting-heat"? What is a "collecting-heat"?JAL: Ah, det det är mer som ett slags uppsamlingheat, jag har samlat ihop en massa saker som legat och...

Perhaps it would be better to translate it to something like collecting-rush or gathering-event oslt.
Edit: Unless it is commonly used among writers/publishers, either way I have never heard it before. It is just a combination of the Swedish word uppsamling and the English word heat.

I always tell people that this story is my unhealthy obsession. I wish that were more of a joke.bore wrote:You actually sat down and watched an interview in a language you don't understand!?Wolfchild wrote:I did notice that John said something that included the word "Jävla" that set them both to laughing.
