How long will we stay infected?

As i saw someone saying, it may start to lower the intensity on which you feel about it. But surely, it won't go in the sense that you don't love it anymore. More like passion and love, passion can pass but the love remains.
I know it for around a year, and still love to watch it on a Sunday night before going to sleep.

Now 16 months, and July is the anniversary month of my joining WTI. I still find that I am pushing the film on everyone that I can. I also still find that no one that I have encouraged to watch it has taken the time to do it, unless they watched it with me, and then only one really liked it--my older son--and I don't sense that he plans to watch it again. His remarks were overall pretty positive as we watched it, though. Oh, and my wife liked it, but she only watched it a second time with me sort of as a special favor; whereas we have watched Honeymoon in Bali and My Cousin Vinny a few times together (and will again).dongregg wrote:Well, I became infected the middle of March, 2013. It's not the 14 months that gets my attention; it's how much I think about LTROI every day and how strongly I feel about Oskar, Eli, and all of the other players. And the sound track. And visually. Yesterday I watched a lot of it with the sound off. Some time back, I listened to a lot of it with the screen minimized. Whoa, I heard a lot of new stuff that way. What I'm saying is, I don't think I can exhaust everything there is to see, hear, and feel about the film.
I wonder now if there has been a tectonic shift in viewer habits such that rewatching anime and films is not done as much now. Or maybe only a small subset of viewers ever did. Yeah, the latter makes sense. I see that there are still fans who watch the late night showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show...

I'm with you, Elias. My Blu-ray setup is in my bedroom. Once I'm done with channel surfing, I often watch LTROI until I get drowsy.Elias Eriksson wrote:As i saw someone saying, it may start to lower the intensity on which you feel about it. I have the film on my phone and my ipad. I watch parts of it whenever the moment inspires it; usually while I am people-watching at Borrone's Café in Menlo Park. I also have many, many pages tagged in my well-worn copy of the book, which still move me when I pick it up and randomly select a tagged page.
I suspect this could go on for a long, long time to come. It has now been almost six years since I was infected.

Still Infected
Although, with the combination of work, Japanese Lessons and side activities. I just don't have as much time to post here. But I'm still proudly infected none the less

Having to watch kids for weeks, for my sister, and having a record high temprature, I just can't be on my computer for very long right now. It's over 30 degrees C shadow temprature. And over 50 in the sun, my face is boiling off. I am not used to this!! I bet if Oskar and El was here they would be asleep for another three months by now haha.

How hard could that be? You just put down a water dish and throw a handful of Cheerios on the floor.intrige wrote:Having to watch kids for weeks, for my sister...
