Little things noticed upon re-viewing

Yeah, I wish I didn't know that. The jungle gym and the empty courtyard is a deeply touching scene. Seeing Oskar and Eli running together is creepy, and I know why. They remind me of the creepy little figures in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive.

I must confess I did not watch toomany Film by David Lynch. His non-linear stories and that you almost never know who is who is a bit too arduous for me XD

I know. I was thinking about Lynch the other night. I concluded that my favorite work of his is Blue Velvet. Interesting in light of your comment -- it's an actual story that makes sense. It also stands alone as one of my favorite movies, regardless of the director.

Hey, everybody. I've been sooo sick (the chronic mono, of course). It was so hard even just to fool with the computer for more than a few minutes. But I did get to watch our movie a couple more times, so I've had time to isolate any number of things that probably aren't even entirely real, thanks to fever (for instance, Hakan probably was not played by Johnny Cash). Could it be that Eli's eyes looks cat-like when she visits Oskar at night?

Yeah, Dom. The good eye of an artist...

I gotta say, this is an example of how Tomas worked cinema magic with a very small budget. There's a lot of this in the film, but it takes multiple viewings to see these examples, like the first scene of Eli sleeping where she's wearing a dress she won't have until near the end of the film. Like you, Tomas has such a good eye for detail that you know these hiccoughs are due to time/money constraints.

BTW, there's a lot of stuff that I would never notice unless someone were to point it out!
