Was there another vampire that Eli met (besides the Lord)?

Yes, a woman, who was "just as cynical, damaged, as the man with the wig" (my translation). She made a suggestion, had a "wonderful idea", that Eli had to flee from. The novel doesn't reveal what the idea was about, but it has been discussed on this forum, probably more than once.
But from the beginning Eli was just Eli. Nothing. Anything. And he is still a mystery to me. John Ajvide Lindqvist

gkmoberg1 fills in who the woman was in "Kristina." It's a cinematic wonderland of old Malmö, as visual and atmospheric as any fan fiction I can think of. Since our little vampire pals are in Malmö in parts 3 and 4 of "Set Me as a Seal," guess who shows up again! But you'll have to wait for the scary encounter with her because part 4 is only in my head at this point.

You can't just have my head, but you can bid on it. So far no one has met the reserve price ($1.50).

I can't start typing yet! Who could when you've got our wee pals to play with in Malmö?

Truly, though, I do feel a little guilty about keeping them to myself for so long.

Really?

Nah!

After having read the book, I'd like to update several interesting things we learned about the vampiric condition. We learn that the heart grows a second brain that can take control after he first one supposedly dies, the exception being Hakan (to those of you who kept reading Harkan, I apologize) who had his eye/head stabbed, his heart ripped out, fell from a ten story building after being burned alive by acid, and was beaten up by Eli after he attempted to rape him. Hakan also seemed to still be squirming after being beaten into paste, implying something, maybe the next stage of vampirism? We know that they have super sensitive hearing, super strength, super regenerative abilities, are practically immortal, can shape shift, can see in the dark, are very agile, enhanced smell, etc. We know that even the smallest amount of sunlight is extremely deadly to them, to the point where they would burst into flames if exposed for too long. They constantly need to feed on blood, and can feed on themselves temporarily. Virginia described the infection like a sort of snake. If they're not invited in hey bleed from every pore of their body until they die (Hakan being the lone exception, except he may not even be a vampire at this point). They also can slow down their heart beat, be immune to cold, stop breathing, cannot eat regular foods, and they constantly have visions of eating people if they're hungry. Honestly, what a fricking crazy creature. It could probably be a super hero if it didn't have to feed on blood. What would be interesting is if all the vampires lost their genitalia after becoming infected. I also like a Contemplative Life's depiction of them losing their normal digestive system. Although Eli still, supposedly still had an anus, unless I was interpreting the whole Hakan scene wrong. They probably don't need to use the rest room, being as how they don't release waste and toxins from their bodies as we do. Anything I'm missing? Also, I know that one already exist, but I'm thinking of adding another thread in discussion of the appearances of vampires. I feel like someone one may have brought this up before, but the whole snake inside the body thing kind of reminded me of Brian Lumley Necroscope vampires.

I disagree. Eliform vampires regularly ingest stuff, and it has to disappear somehow. The simplest way would be that Eliform vampires excrete the wastes once in a while, just like ordinary people. If not, one would have to add some extra magic, which I prefer to avoid.

Besides, Eli might even sweat:
De låg intill varandra i soffan, svettades, flämtade.
They lay next to each other on the couch, sweating, panting. My translation.

Now, of course Oskar might have been sole responsible of the sweating, and Eli might have faked panting, but that isn't what this paragraph actually says.
But from the beginning Eli was just Eli. Nothing. Anything. And he is still a mystery to me. John Ajvide Lindqvist

Eliform ingested stuff? I thought she just vomited it out when she did?

I thought blood is what fueled their body. They don't excrete any toxins as much as they do just vomit anything up that their body doesn't want. After they use up the blood for whatever reason their body needs, (Which they seem to burn in the form of energy. Transformations, healing, et) They then search for more. I guess that's how I originally thought about it. I only remember Oskar being uncertain as to whether Eli even goes to the restroom. Unless that is also some sort of mistranslation.
