Stephen Fry would be a good reader. I have plenty of respect for the great comic actor (Blackadder ftw!), and he's got a very expressive voice.

If you like Stephen Fry, pick up the audiobook of "The Salmon of Doubt". Apart from being a fantastic listen because of Stephen Fry, it's sort of a "reunion" of the radio cast of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. You can probably find it in a bargain bin (I did recently -- 7 dollars!).

How about the great James Earl Jones? Darth Vader does LTROI. Though I'm not quite sure he's still with us. Or am I just thinking of him dying in that Jack Ryan movie?

Are you sure this is still the case? Here in Norway, students are allowed to freely intermix AE and BE.

To be honest I'm not entirely sure; it's been over 20 years since I took English in school and I have no school kids myself. But I think the teacher training is still mainly aimed at British English, but then of course we're constantly exposed to American English through TV, films and music so most Swedes are pretty influenced by that in how they sound when they speak English.

I think Jeremy Irons is good overall but what about Hugo Weaving, he has an excellent voice.
She's beautiful as well as interesting, isn't she?
She's beautiful-that's always interesting.
