Yes there is some footage of Tyreste, video and stills, and I kept a written diary that I was thinking of editing into "The Diary of John Christensen", sort of his last days on planet earth before his ultimate sacrifice... :)

Since johnajvide approved of the depicted locations, I have added to the map the forest where Oskar’s stabbing trees and Håkan's disposal of Jocke. I've also tidied up the map a bit.
Virginias home, #14 on the map, is now the the depicted location from earlier in the thread.
The “holy waters”, where Oskar hits back, is out on the ice down and left from #17 Ghost hill, and probably not too far from it.
The location where Eli kills the old lady (Långskeppsgatan used as an example) is about two km NE from Eli’s home, up and right of the map section displayed below.
Danderyds Sjukhus is about 10 km flying distance NE of Blackeberg, also up and right of the map section.

7 = Downtown Blackeberg, tree where Virginia is attacked in the film
8 = Forest, Oskar stabbing trees
9 = China restaurant – Holbergsgatan
10 = Jocke killed - Underpass Björnsonsgatan
11 = Gösta’s apartment – Björnsong. 56
12 = Håkan got rid of Jocke’s body
13 = Candy store (Älskarens kiosk), Björnsonsgatan
14 = Virginias apartment - Arvid Mörnes väg
15 = ICA, Virginia's work - Arvid Mörnes väg
16 = Virginia attacked - tree
17 = Ghost hill

I'd like to add my thanks, too, for making the story [even more] alive in my mind.

Really nice way to bring things into perspective. Add my thanks to the group.

Add a thanks from Stockholm too, today I actually visited Blackeberg. Really nice neighbourhood, only the rain held me back making more pictures following Drakkar's route.

Here's Oscar and Eli's apartment layout which is drawn using various angles in the film.

"Can we die?" "Of course we can." Eli put his hand on his heart, felt the slow beats. Maybe it was because he was a child. Maybe that was why he hadn't put an end to it. The pangs of conscience were weaker than his will to live.

It was nice to go back and rewatch the film once I had that diagram; it really helped me understand things inside the apt. a bit better. I always get a chuckle out of that bat in the tub, too. :lol:

Those layouts have always puzzled me, because when I view the film they seem correct interior-wise. But still, when taking the building exterior into account, one of the apartment entrances should be inverted. In the book, the entrance to Eli's apartment to the right viewed from the courtyard, opposite of what is shown in the layout mapping. And based on the film location (Södra Vretv. 15 in Luleå) it is Oskar's apartment entrance which must be to the right seen from the courtyard.

We know the film apartments were studios - maybe the same studio lay out, only changing the interior when they switched between Oskar's and Eli's apartments.
