I am such a huge LTROI fan that I only want to have one unspoiled vision of the characters in my mind.) But the conviction and grace Lina brought to the role would probably not have been achievable without a great director, and for that reason (among many others, as I believe it is a brilliantly-directed film) Tomas Alfredsson is my hero.

Come on into the deep end BADswimmer. :)

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

I thought both were great performances by actresses with big futures. After reviewing the audition tape for LMI I would have leaned more towards Ariel Winters as Abby due to her being just as talented and looking the part as described in the novel. Im pretty sure it was a deicision more influenced by Chloe's growing popularity.
But between the two Lina was closer to the novel then Chloe was in many reguards, but I blame their directors for the problems each had. Chloe was far too stiff and unemotional in her performance then she had to be, after all it was supposed to be about her reconnecting with humanity. This gives much more people that ive spoken too the opinion that Owen is the new "Father" and she was just using him.
