US DVD/Blu-ray cover

Now I'm admittedly not the best one to judge given my feelings on the film, but wow, this looks really tacky. If LTROI had done the same exact thing with Lina instead of Chloe, I would say the exact same thing. It's trying to sell this as a straight-forward horror film, which is pretty misleading obviously. In their defense, the UK cover for LTROI (which I own) does look pretty gaudy as well and doesn't do a great job selling the viewer as to what type of film it is.

The original US poster--with Abby lying in the pool of blood--would have been a much better choice IMO. The UK DVD cover, with Owen and Abby, also looks a lot better than this.

Since the original tinypic.com url has expired, I thought I'd post one that still works:

...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

I don't like the DVD cover for Let Me In at all. IT does look like the distributor's are trying to sell it as a straight forward horror flick. I did like the poster which had Abby lying all by herself in a pool of blood, which actually really signifies (sp?) what Abby has been going thru during her 224 years of living.

The UK cover is much better just like with the UK LTROI one.

I like that one a whole lot better cause it really shows their relationship with one another.

the UK cover is far better. If I were in a video store saw the American cover I probably wouldn't give the movie a moments thought.

I remember when I seen the trailers for Let Me In, I thought the movie had Chloe as this villian who would think in order to please her friend, she would kill for him. Once I seen the movie, it was way far beyond that. IT was a friendship between two outcasts who relied on one another.

I do prefer the UK cover. People will be more drawn to it than to the American cover. But I also like the American cover, as it looks like a remake of the Swedish cover.
