En liten julklapp till svenska läsare

Re: En liten julklapp till svenska läsare
Thanks for the translations. And thanks for the story, John! It's really nice to see some exclusive first run content.

Re: En liten julklapp till svenska läsare
I just want to say thanks all around:
To DMt. for giving it the ol' college try with the Google translation...
To StefL for using his great command of both languages to provide an even better translation...
And to JAL for giving us, the Infected, a most excellent Christmas present.
As usual, John, you didn't have to indulge us here at the forum, but you did. I know I sound like a broken record, scratched CD, whatever, but you really are a classy guy. I have great respect for you, as a writer, but even more as a person. I hope fame never changes you. As for the story itself...
Creepy and funny in equal parts. Alice comes across as so genuine; you really know how to present kids on paper so they come across as real-life children. It's interesting that Finland is mentioned in the story. It put me to mind of the Santa in the recently released Finnish movie RARE EXPORTS, where a Finnish archeological team unearths a Santa Claus even nastier than Alice's dad. LOL
Have a great Holiday, John. :)

Merry Christmas
. Yes, if you didn't know its tradition in Sweden to celebrate Chrismas on the 24th rather than on the 25th

Thanks John.
Thanks to the translators.
I sort of knew what was coming up as I read on but delighted with the outcome.

Thanks for the story!

It's probably everywhere save the English-speaking world. At least the Latin countries also celebrate on the 24, and I know Germany does as well.God of Vampires wrote:Merry Christmas. Yes, if you didn't know its tradition in Sweden to celebrate Chrismas on the 24th rather than on the 25th

I've been off the forum for awhile due to work and the holidays but this was a wonderful thing to come back to. Thanks so much for the Christmas present, John!
Cheers and hope the holidays treated everyone very well!

Tack saa mycket för den skräcka historia!
Hmm i have to improve my swedish^^, so thanks a lot for the translation.
Short and lovely story about child´s retribution and Santa from Hell
It kinda reminded me of a South Park episode where Stan´s mom got a new boyfriend
who often forces Stan to go out chopping some wood and eventually ends up getting
suspended from a tree.

ooooh det är bra jag var lite rädd men jag älskade det.
How does he do it? Does he just write this off in five minutes or something? It's great.
I could never write anything that short. I've tried, I can't do a 'short story' less than 30 pages
