How long will we stay infected?

Post by Bustedstuff15 » Mon Oct 24, 2011 6:18 am

Sometimes I wonder how long this feeling in the pit of my heart for the love of this story will continue. I hope it does forever and as of now I cant ever see that changing. Its so strange because I have never had anything besides my ex gf have such an impact on me and my emotions. So is this one of those things as they say "All good things must come to an end" or is the infection everlasting like Eli's? What do you guys think?

Personally, I think I maybe infected for life. Mainly due to the fact that LTROI is so relatable.

I think that while the intensity may fade the infection will survive. As long as you keep feeding it and posting on these boards it will persist. Only flames or sunlight will kill it. ;)

Well , my infection is two years old now, and as passionate as ever. I love Oskar and Eli.
I've got a feeling my case is lifelong. :D

I hope that my infection is never cured. I have a line from the book/film tattooed on my body and I'd hate to someday reflect on it just to realize the same feelings I have right now are gone. I love everything involving LTROI and I cannot imagine it ever dying.

For me it is a great fear to see my infection fade. But it never ever does. I have been infected for over a year, and I don't see the movie anymore. Nor do I read the book. I know everything in it, have read the book many times. The movie, I have memorized all the lines. I think I videotaped it once, it it was really something to be proud of :D Yet, I do think "fan-fiction" all the time. I was in Oslo.. Today actually, and I took the hairplane back. I have been sitting at air-ports a lot lately. And about everything in the world, all the people, screaming kids and sloppy grown-ups. What I thought about was if I saw Eli and Oskar running around with to bagpacks, trying to get on their airplane. What if?? Or how the dark corners i Oslo seem to have two kids in them. I saw the new the other day, and I got this great Fan-Fic idea.

I still draw and feel the urge to make fanvids, all though the last one I can't do. Tectical problems.. UGH! Anyway, as long as you browse, post and create, you might still be infected this time next year. I say that if it fades within two months, you aren't really infected. And that's it.. 8-)

An infection can have two stages: acute and chronic. Chronic infections can go on indefinitely.

Or maybe it's something like arthritis. That can definitely remain chronic. I know from personal experience. :D

This is intriguing
Thinking about this for a while
I´m not worried about my infection anymore. I know it will last long. But for some while I have my doubts , if i should remain member /or better "active" member/ of this forum. Because of the feeling , that i don´t belong here very much. Maybe the right solution is not to unnecessary bother this nice place with my presence, and instead to chose more quiet and inconspicuous way of membership.
